On Sunday, I ran the Soweto Marathon, a race aimed at developing South Africa's largest township. Sadness ran through me at Moroka police station when I went to report a case of malicious damage to property and theft yesterday.

On Sunday, I ran the Soweto Marathon, a race aimed at developing South Africa's largest township. Sadness ran through me at Moroka police station when I went to report a case of malicious damage to property and theft yesterday.

A minority, who saw no good in this cause, stole valuables from cars and cars too.

While waiting at the police station from 9am to 11am yesterday, I spoke to three people whose cars were stolen. They were all athletes.

Funny how we accept crime. A person at the police station said loudly: "Welcome to Soweto."
