Moroka Swallows came back from a 2-0 down to hold Bloemfontein Celtic to a 2-all draw in an exciting Absa Premiership match at Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg yesterday.
Just as Phunya SeleSele thought they'd won this encounter, Swallows made a last minute effort to salvage a point.
The game started with Celtic on the offensive but the Birds regrouped in the second stanza wherein they scored their two goals.
Swallows' midfielder and captain Lefa Tsutsulupa was outstanding with his accurate passes unsettling Celtic.
Phunya SeleSele midfielder John Maduka also played well directing his passes to the wings.
But in the 29th minute Swallows defence was caught napping when Godfrey Serunkuma outran them to score.
This was the carbon copy of Pirates Thulasizwe Mbuyane's goal against the same Swallows last week.
The combination of David Radebe and Phumelele Bhengu was 'not there' as the hosts looked disjointed and lacking in aggression up front.
Then Swallows started to attack in the second half but Radebe missed a golden opportunity with only goalie Shu-Aib Walters to beat in the 59th minute.
Celtic doubled the advantage with Moses Spandeel's header from a cross by Patrick Malokase in the 65th minute.
Ryan Botha's blistering shot from range bulged the net in the 77th and three minutes later substitute Elton Morelato completed the comeback for Swallows with a fine header.
l Thanda Royal Zulu gifted Bidvest Wits three points after a 1-0 loss at Mpumalanga Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal yesterday.
Royal threatened first in the ninth minute through their Nigerian midfielder Felix Obada whose effort was cleared by Bienvenu Tipa.
Obada came close again six minutes later but his shot went over.
The Students on the other hand did not sit back launching their own attacks.
Former Swallows' development player Sifiso Myeni's right-footed shot in the 20th minute from inside the box was blocked by goalie Aubrey Mathibe.
Myeni finally put his name on the scorers' sheet when he struck from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute after Isaac Lechabane was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the danger box.
The win saw Wits tied on 13 points with defending champions SuperSport United at the summit of the table.
