Sowetan Online was swamped by thousands of e-mails from frantic fans who were desperate to see their favourite celebrity reach the sexiest list.

In a poll running for two months you were invited to nominate your choice of sexy celebrities. Then we created a short list until we ended up with the man and woman you think are the sexiest in SA - and they are both actors.

Twala is a seasoned TV and theatre performer currently appearing on the hit soapie Generations .

Pheto burst on to the scene in Gavin Hood's Oscar-winning film Tsotsi.
