Judgment in the Jeppestown massacre trial had to be put on hold after Advocate Mlungisi Buthelezi, the defence counsel who collapsed last week, was late, again.

An upset Johannesburg high court Judge Ratha Mokgoathleng noted that it was not the first time that Buthelezi, whose excuse was that he had car problem, had been late for court.

The judge postponed the matter to today and suggested that a new defence counsel be appointed for Buthelezi's client, accused number nine Siyanda Mngomezulu.

Mngomezulu is one of the six remaining accused who are expected to hear their fate today. - Dudu Busani
