The midweek victories by Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu should inspire both sides to dish out a scintillating display when they meet in an Absa Premiership game at Loftus at 4pm tomorrow.
Chiefs narrowly beat Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 and AmaZulu registered a 2-0 victory over Ajax Cape Town.
The two now face each other.
They have each won two games from five outings, collecting six points apiece.
Chiefs' form has been resembling a pendulum, though their midweek performance seems to suggest that they are gradually finding their feet.
Coach Muhsin Ertugral did not want to say much about the game, but revealed they were working on a more attacking formula.
"We have a number of knocks from Wednesday's game but we hope they are not that serious," he said.
The side needs to be composed and organised, particularly at the back because their midfield and strike force appear to be sharp enough.
With Siphiwe Tshabalala, Tinashe Nengomasha and Reneilwe Letsholonyane forming a stable midfield, and the deadly combination of Gert Schalkwyk and Jose Torrealba up front, Chiefs stand a good chance of grabbing all three points.
Usuthu's coach Clive Barker believes Chiefs have found their feet, rating the win over Celtic as one of their best recent performances.
"But soccer lovers must brace themselves for the best match of the year on Saturday. Although both sides respect each other, we're going to give it our best shot," said Barker.
He added that Tshabalala was going to get plenty of attention from his side.
"Chiefs have top quality players, but if they are weak at the back, then we hope to collect maximum points."
Collins Chabalala, who scored against Ajax, added a different dimension to Usuthu. It was his first game back from injury and he was outstanding.
The side's midfield of Bafo Biyela, Mahommed-Awal Issa and Sithembiso Dlamini has the ability to thwart Chiefs' dangerous moves.
