Your weekend prospects have just improved, if you put on your dancing shoes and head on down to the Mzansi Fo Sho Music Explosion All Spring Weekend 2008 in Mafikeng, North West.

The first annual weekend of its kind is going to be a three-day affair. Set to dazzle at the Metro FM, Motsweding FM, North West Tourism, Sowetan and Sunday World event are draw cards such as Nemza, Molemi, Tuks, Malik and DJ Mahoota vs Vetkoek, among a long list of thrillers

SABC1 will be bringing along several of its popular TV platforms, including Selimathunzi, Live and Music Lounge.

The Friday hip-hop session will go down at the Bop Recording Studios at 4143 Nelson Mandela Drive, Mafikeng, and the Saturday beach party takes place at the scenic and tranquil Setumo Dam/Modimola Dam, a stone's throw from Mafikeng.

On Sunday the detox party/car wash will lead you to Letlamoreng Dam in Vryburg Road, Mafikeng.

"The SABC1 brand is excited at the opportunity to come to the North West to interact with our loyal viewers there and to see the people of the beautiful region," says Vukile Madlala, SABC1 publicity manager.

"Besides the unique Mzansi experience and the hot artist line-up, the channel will also be bringing to the region a rare live opportunity for people to meet with their favourite actors and actresses as we enjoy music and fun with our loyal viewers."

Tickets for the Music Explosion event are R60 for the Friday hip-hop party and R120 for Saturday, and are available at Computicket.
