All ANC factions have good and bad

I have observed the situation within the ANC. As far as I am concerned all the parties have some weaknesses and some strengths.

I have observed the situation within the ANC. As far as I am concerned all the parties have some weaknesses and some strengths.

One might say Thabo Mbeki was too stubborn for his own good, but at the same time the behaviour of people claiming to be Jacob Zuma supporters was downright appalling.

As an ordinary South African I know Mbeki and Zuma as ANC members, but for them to fight their battles in the open is disappointing.

Considering the way the battle between comrades has been fought, brutally at times, they surely can't claim to be doing what they are doing for ordinary South Africans.

It is also true that Mosiuoa Lekota and his group had their time and never inspired any confidence. But then, Julius Malema and his mentors also do not inspire any confidence. I would understand if people were afraid of voting for the ANC because of Malema's behaviour .

I also would understand people's fear of Mbhazima Shilowa's extravagant lifestyle because it would mean he is likely to line his pockets first.

Mzansi, these are confusing, exciting and frightening times. What I like most, though, is come the elections next year and ordinary South Africans will have the final say.
