Please allow me to express my sincere gratitude to our hardworking and dedicated police men.
Last week I was caught in a taxi war in the Vaal. Many of us took cover while the bullets were flying around us, but two brave police constables risked their lives to disarm the taxi driver and arrest him.
These policemen deserve more for their efforts. I sincerely hope that their bosses will do something for them.
I was shocked when I discovered later that these constables earn about R4 000 a month.
What a shame.
