This is because of union's perennial suspicions about employers' commitment to workers' safety.

Prompting the topic is yesterday's incident in which three employees were killed and 14 others seriously injured when a three-storey building collapsed in Roodepoort, west of Johannesburg.

The reality, though, is that cooperation between the two parties remains key to resolving this matter.
