The Local Organising Committee's executive are expected to assess the upgrading of Loftus and Free State stadiums in preparation for the 2009 Confederations Cup.
This comes after Fifa raised serious concerns about the challenges faced in upgrading the two facilities.
The concerns were raised after an intensive week-long inspection of the progress made by various cities for the Confederations Cup and 2010 World Cup.
"There is much work to do, but the delegation is optimistic that the necessary solutions will be found and actioned in time to put on a world-class event next tear," said Fifa.
Godfrey Nkwane, chief of Tshwane's World Cup directorate, said: "It has nothing to do with the stadium [Loftus'] upgrade.
"It's more to do with the space requirements like where the buses will drop off the players and officials, but we are dealing with them."
George Mohlakoana, Mangaung's World Cup boss, could not be reached for comment.
Tim Modise, the LOC's communications director, said they were aware of the concerns raised by Fifa but were hopeful all the deadlines would be met by the host cities.
Irvin Khoza, the LOC's chairman, recently warned that they would not hesitate to withdraw any city dragging its feet in the renovations.
