Gold Fields' elite runners Olebogeng Masire, Jacob Selebalo, Puseletso Maema and Rose Tseuoa conquered the world in New York last week by grabbing top position at the world's most prestigious yearly corporate relay - the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge Championship.
This event, held at Park Avenue was in its 26th year. It was described as the most successful staging to date.
Gold Fields won the highly regarded mixed team category.
South Africa completed a sweep after Transnet Rail Engineering won the men's and women's team titles.
Gold Fields team manager Sydney Mdluli was ecstatic.
"Our runners came to New York last year, ran so well but missed top honours by a meagre two seconds," he said.
"In our true culture of discipline and determination they came back, knuckled down and won in emphatic fashion."
