Lucas "Rhoo" Radebe's family was still finalising funeral arrangements last night for his wife Feziwe, who died of cancer on Saturday morning.

Feziwe Faith Radebe, 34, succumbed to intestinal cancer several hours after she was taken to the Morningside Medi-Clinic in Sandton, Johannesburg.

"Lucas is devastated and it is very tough for him but he has realised that what happened has happened," said his manager Glyn Binkin.

He said the former Bafana Bafana and Leeds captain wanted to be alone and mourn his wife's death.

The mother of two - Lucas Jnr, 9, and Owami, 4, - was diagnosed with cancer in 2005. Since then the couple have tried various treatments in the hope of beating the disease.

Radebe's sister, Dikeledi Nkosi, said the family was still waiting for Feziwe's family, who live in Mafikeng, North West, to arrive so they can finalise funeral arrangements.

"We have not finalised everything because the in-laws have not arrived yet, but they are on their way," Nkosi said. "Once they have arrived we will complete the process."

Nkosi said her sister-in-law was a peace-loving person and they will miss her.

"She loved people and life in general and was very kind," she said.
