A crooked policeman, who faces a string of corruption charges, is due back in the Johannesburg magistrate's court today.
Police inspector Sean Twala, who was last Thursday sentenced to 10 years in jail for corruption, is expected to appear with his co-accused, Tello Mota, on several more corruption charges.
He is also scheduled to appear in another courtroom on Wednesday in connection with unrelated corruption charges.
In this matter the state alleges that Twala took R30000 from a Johannesburg man with the promise of having a BMW vehicle registered in the man's name.
Twala was sentenced to four years for extortion, two years for attempted extortion, two years for defeating the ends of justice and two years for intimidation.
Six of the 10 years were suspended for two years.
Early this year one of the state witnesses was shot dead execution-style.
Lindiwe Mthembu, 37, was killed three days before she could give evidence against Twala and Mota.
