KwaZulu-Natal premier and former ANC chairman Sbu Ndebele yesterday said that nothing should undermine the "hard-won unity the ANC has achieved in KwaZuluNatal".
Ndebele was commenting in the wake of the collapsed talks between the current ANC leadership and former ANC chairman Terror Lekota.
Lekota yesterday announced that he was serving "divorce papers" on the ANC, implying the possibility of the launch of a breakaway party.
Ndebele said: "We can only win elections if we are united."
