Aucor is pleased to be able to offer the South African and international markets a large fleet of surplus aviation and handling equipment which has become available as a result of the completion of a local contract.

This sale is expected to attract international interest as items being offered are technologically advanced late models and leading brands that are in short supply worldwide.

The shortage of such equipment stretches up to 12 months in some cases, purely as a result of heavy demand from India and China. Interest from European and US handling companies has already been brisk, as well as from aviation leasing companies.

Even manufacturers have tried to engage in pre-auction sale activity in order to secure items for existing clients.

Among the almost 1000 items being offered are aircraft push-back tractors, aviation ground power units, disabled passengers' aid units, cargo loaders, conveyors, battery cars and air-start units. A wide range of spare parts and specialised equipment will also be offered.

The sale is also of interest to the general public and industry, as it will offer a wide range of commercial and passenger vehicles like Toyota Stallions, Mercedes Vitos, Ford Bantams, Toyota Hilux and Nissan Hardbodies.

Small items include battery chargers, lathes, work-benches, wheel balancers, generators and compressors.

The auction will take place on October 30 and 31 at 10.30am at The Airport Grand Hotel, 100 North Rand Road, Bardene, Boksburg.
