Banyana Banyana coach Augustine Makalakalane and manager Fran-Hilton Smith are part of the Bafana Bafana delegation to Equatorial Guinea today, albeit on a separate mission.

The two will use the trip to inspect facilities for the biennial African Women's Championships finals, scheduled to start on November 15. Banyana Banyana will take part in the tournament that has been monopolised by Nigeria. Bafana will be honouring Saturday's final 2010 World Cup-Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Equatorial Guinea.

Makalakane and Hilton-Smith were still struggling to secure visas for the trip as Safa representatives were sent from pillar to post yesterday by Equatorial Guinea's embassy in Pretoria.

"We are hoping to get their visas, it is important for them to inspect the facilities for their tournament," said Sipho Nkumane, Bafana Bafana manager.

Makalakane said they wanted to select the strongest possible squad to make South Africa happy in Equatorial Guinea.

The African Women's Championships first round draw:

November 15

Equatorial Guinea v Cameroon; Mali v Congo;

Nigeria v Ghana

November 16

South Africa v Tunisia; Cameroon v Mali

November 18:

Congo v Equatorial Guinea; Ghana v South Africa

November 19

Tunisia v Nigeria; Equatorial Guinea v Mali

November 21

Cameroon v Congo; Nigeria v South Africa

November 22

Ghana v Tunisia
