Swedish manufacturer Volvo has been busy of late and potential buyers should be aware that a cheaper, 1,6-litre C30 is already on sale as is a new variant of the top range S80.

Also, Volvo will be advertising a prime minus three percent fixed rate option on brand new S40 and C30 derivatives soon. On the Volvo used car side, expect a prime minus five percent finance scheme on any selected used Volvo. However, do read and understand the finance agreements before signing on the dotted line.

Sunny skies are the order of the day this season and should you be planning to treat yourself to an open topped car for this coming summer, add the Audi TT on your must-check list. It's a fantastic option that is as classy as the SLK and as fast and entertaining as the BMW Z4. An Audi dealer in Menlyn has a unit going for R410000 and that's inclusive of VAT. While still on the Four-Rings company, the cars it is churning out lately are on par with their segment rivals and in some cases, they present viable, honest alternatives. Take the new A4 for instance.

Fine vehicle and should you be planning to get one, look around as some dealers will sell you a brand new 2008 spec A4 1,8T without any deposit. It may sound simple, but approach them with expectations of payment of costs not necessarily hidden.

Starter pack mania is happening at the Church Street, Pretoria, VW dealer. Specials on new Citi Golf ranges are galore. Expect to be asked R999 monthly instalments based on 72 months and 25 percent deposit on a 1,4 model. However, see an insurer first to see if they've showed mercy to this popular car and reduced monthly commitments to insure.
