AMPS data for newspapers shows Sowetan has grown by nine percent in the year to June, while our website has jumped beyond the four-million mark.

The latest Nielsen Netratings, which monitor websites, show our visitors' page impressions - the number of times a page is viewed - at 4,3 million in September, which is up 28 percent month-on-month. Our unique browsers, or individual users, are also up by over 22 percent, showing we have 185000 readers.

You can count on us to be entertaining with a strong human interest ethos using videos, slide shows and photo galleries which bring the stories to life - be it breaking news, gossip, celebrity scandals, sports updates and what's happening in your community.
