Sivhidzho owes lawyer

The murder trial of Mulalo Sivhidzho had to be put on hold because she had not paid her lawyer.

The murder trial of Mulalo Sivhidzho had to be put on hold because she had not paid her lawyer.

Sivhidzho's legal counsel Advocate Christo Meiring yesterday told Johannesburg high court Judge Naren Pandya that he had not been paid for the past few weeks.

Pandya ordered that Sivhidzho bring her father to court today, whom she said was responsible for paying Meiring. The trial is expected to resume today.

Sivhidzho is on trial for the murder of her husband Avhatakali Netshisaulu, the son of City Press editor-in-chief Mathatha Tsedu.

She allegedly conspired with co-accused Ntambudzeni Matsenene in hiring alleged hitman Arnold Sello to carry out the murder.
