Another lipless rapist is being sought by the police.

Tembisa police are looking for a man with a missing lower lip after it was bitten off by a 23-year-old woman he allegedly raped.

The woman was asleep with her boyfriend at their Tlamatlama home when a man broke in and demanded cellphones.

He told them that he had a gun and that they should cover themselves with blankets.

They told him that the cellphones were in a handbag next to the bed.

He took the cellphones but instead of leaving turned his attention to the naked woman.

He pinned her to the bed and by the time the boyfriend got his nerve to fight off the intruder he had already raped her.

The boyfriend tried to pull him off but failed. He then went outside and screamed for help.

"While the boyfriend was seeking help the woman managed to bite the thug's lower lip off," said police spokesman Manyadza Ralidzhivha.

"The man fled the scene in pain, leaving his lower lip behind. We found the full lower lip on the woman's bed.

"The lip was taken for forensic tests and we are pleading with the community to help us find this man."

A case of rape and housebreaking has been opened.

This is the second case of a rapist who got more than he bargained for. In April last year a man had his lips bitten off by a 30-year-old woman he was trying to rape.

The woman managed to convince her attacker to drop his weapon. She then grabbed his upper and lower lips and bit them off.
