If your are interested in classical music, then do yourself a favour by attending the Buskaid String Concert in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, on October 11.

A very innovative music concept, this concert will introduce you to the mellow classical music sounds of the Soweto String Ensemble, a prolific classical music outfit that continues to inspire many people in the country.

This year Buskaid will hold its annual public concert at the Holy Trinity Church in Braamfontein.

Classical music lovers are expected to converge on the church for an inspiring programme of baroque, classical and romantic music and some great new kwela arrangements that will be performed by the extraordinarily talented young musicians.

This is the only opportunity to hear the Buskaid Ensemble live in concert in 2008. Seating is limited. So those who would like to attend the concert are urged to book as soon as possible.

Concert-goers will get to hear music by great classical composers such as Telemann, Vivaldi, Chevalier, St Georges, Rachmaninov, Ravel and Britten. The concert, which starts at 8pm, will feature a number of Buskaid soloists.
