Habana and Rossouw are back for Bulls

World Cup Springboks Bryan Habana and Danie Rossouw are fit and have been included in the Blue Bulls' starting line-up for Saturday's Absa Currie Cup clash against Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

World Cup Springboks Bryan Habana and Danie Rossouw are fit and have been included in the Blue Bulls' starting line-up for Saturday's Absa Currie Cup clash against Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

Habana, who was struggling with a knee and shoulder injury, was declared fit while Rossouw has recovered from a niggling heel injury.

Rossouw will pack down at lock alongside Victor Matfield who takes over the captaincy from Wikus van Heerden.

Specialist open side flank Deon Stegmann has been recalled and will partner Van Heerden at the side of the scrum, while Pierre Spies takes Dewald Potgieter's place at number 8. Potgieter will be the loose forward reserve.

There wasn't any room for Pedrie Wannenburg or Jacques Burger on the bench.

Jaco Engels was selected at loosehead prop after Gurthro Steenkamp's broken hand and Marius Delport got the nod as Wynand Olivier's centre partner ahead of Wayne Julies.

Blue Bulls: Tiger Mangweni, Akona Ndungane, Marius Delport, Wynand Olivier, Bryan Habana, Morne Steyn, Fourie du Preez, Pierre Spies, Wikus van Heerden, Deon Stegmann, Victor Matfield (capt), Danie Rossouw, Rayno Gerber, Derick Kuun, Jaco Engels. Replacements: Chiliboy Ralepelle, Werner Kruger, Juandre Kruger, Dewald Potgieter, Heini Adams, Burton Francis, Zane Kirchner. - Sapa
