Fezile Dabi geared up for World Cup

The South African Football Association's Fezile Dabi region has established a 2010 World Cup committee to prepare for the tournament in the area.

"There are many opportunities out there, we want to ensure that the community also benefit," said Samuel Magagula, the regional president.

"We are working together with Fezile Dabi Municipality to use the new stadium in Tumahole as a base camp during the World Cup.

"Almost every company in South Africa wants to be involved in the sport and we need to take advantage of that so that all our activities are sponsored.

"We have established various junior leagues so that all our children play competitive soccer and everything is going according to plans. Our coaches are also doing a great job in developing the sport."

Other committee members are Gift Poli, Thabo Mabasa, Langi Shabangu, Taole Simila, Ramoetsi Soke and Mmatsietsi Kgale.
