The Bushbuckridge local municipality yesterday started hosting national parliamentarians as a way of taking parliament to the people.

The parliamentarians visited the Inyaka Dam bulk water supply project and People's Housing Project yesterday.

This will be followed by the sitting of the people's assembly tomorrow and Thursday.

About 750 national MPs and provincial MECs are expected to interact with the people. The municipality's communications manager, Matume Malatjie, said portfolio committees would look at challenges faced by projects.
