Fists flew at a meeting of the ANC's Andrew Mehlape branch in Mankweng, Limpopo, at the weekend.

Some party members looked on as others wrestled for power during a meeting that took place on Sunday.

At the centre of the row were allegations that people had brought noneligible members to the meeting, thereby disregarding the organisation's constitution.

Fighting broke out when members questioned the authenticity of some of the people attending the meeting.

Among those who attended the meeting, held at the Toronto Primary School, was ANC provincial spokesman Ishmael Ketjepe and SACP provincial secretary Soviet Lekganyane. - Frank Maponya
