A new TV show that promises to make you laugh has been launched by Fanta.

Fanta, in partnership with SABC1's Mzanzi Fo Sho and popular comedian David Kau, launched the So You Think you're Funny talent search last week.

The countrywide talent search is about getting South Africans to discover and explore their playful side. It is the first of its kind in this country.

Centred on the theme Fanta Playground, the show is aimed at providing a platform for South Africans to show off their comic talents and compete for the grand prize of R100000 while having the time of their lives.

Kau will be the champion of the show as well as a judge with three other prominent personalities.

The competition is open to anyone aged 16 and older. The 13-part reality series will flight between November 11 2008 and February 3 2009.

It will cover every stage of the competition from the regional auditions to the grand finale.

Contestants can perform anything from, but not limited to, stand-up comedy, singing and dancing, to magic, as long as it is funny and makes the judges laugh.

A countrywide talent search will start on September 20 in Pretoria.

Auditions will take place in all regional centres and townships including Bloemfontein, Polokwane and Port Elizabeth.
