Great loss for the SA Council of Churches

Thembi Eunice Maletlhohonolo Mutloatse, affectionately called Lolo, was born on March 2 1954, the last of seven children of the late Max and Alice Khumalo.

She attended the Blessed Martin Primary School and Morris Isaacson High, the University of Zululand, Wits and RAU, where she received her master's.

She worked for the South African Council of Churches. At the time of her death she was a remedial psychologist at Glenoaks and other Catholic schools.

A memorial service will be held today at the Sacred Heart College in Observatory from 3pm. Mutloatse died on Tuesday, three weeks after undergoing surgery to remove a malignant growth.

She is survived by her husband, five children, grandson, brothers and sisters. The service will be held tomorrow at the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Yeoville from 11am, after which she will be buried at West Park Cemetery.
