You can now bet on UK races

TAB is delighted to announce that its ITR technology will be in operation for the first time this Wednesday evening - for betting pools on the UK's Kempton race meeting.

The Kempton race meeting will be screened live on Tellytrack from about 7pm, utilising the Racing International picture that is broadcast to 40 some countries daily from Tellytrack's Rivonia base.

Tellytrack will simply switch to the Racing International feed at about 7pm and revert to its normal programming once the Kempton races are over - at about 11pm.

Four tote pools (Win, Place, Swinger and Exacta) will be operation and all will be commingled with the UK tote.

Bets with TAB on the Kempton races can only be taken online or by phone utilising the ITR (interactive tone recognition) platform. TAB telephone betting centres will not operate on the meeting.

To utilise ITR, existing TAB telephone betting customers must have their accounts activated for online betting.

This will give them a numerical pin code, enabling them to bet online and to access the ITR platform. ITR betting is easy - with a voice menu to take users through the various processes.

Inevitably, customers will find it a bit slow until they familiarise themselves with the numbers assigned to each function.

To activate a telephone account for online/ITR betting, call 0861-555-822. To bet using the ITR platform, you can call 0861-888-822.

Wednesday evening races at Kempton are set to become a regular feature with fixtures planned for most Wednesdays until April next year.

The times of the Kempton races this Wednesday night:

Race 1 - 19:20

Race 2 - 19:50

Race 3 - 20:20

Race 4 - 20:50

Race 5 - 21:20

Race 6 - 21:50

Race 7 - 22:50
