A 25-year-old man from Sebokeng in the Vaal was yesterday convicted in the Vereeniging circuit court for raping a woman and her daughter.
Teboho Mokoa had pleaded guilty before Magistrate Margaret Victor.
According to the charge sheet, Mokoa, in the company of four men, entered his victims' house on October 23, 2005. He then raped the woman, aged 41, and her daughter, 21.
The two were asleep at the time. The mother was first raped in her bedroom and later taken outside to the yard where she was repeatedly raped by at least three other unknown men.
His three accomplices were earlier acquitted on all counts because they could not be linked to the crimes.
Magistrate Victor isexpected to pass sentence today.
