Patricia Kehilwe Baepane, an administrator of Netball South Africa, has died.
She was born in Kuruman in Northern Cape 30 years ago.
While Netball South Africa (NSA) has lost a valued and loved employee who was respected by players and officials alike, her family has lost a quiet and unassuming sister.
To compound their pain Baepane is the third family member to die within a year after their father and sister Thato.
Elder sister Kedieng Nonyane said: "She was very quiet and mild-mannered. You could never tell when she was upset about something. Our family is just devastated."
NSA colleague Portia Dimu said they would miss her humility and friendliness.
"She had a very stable personality and was accommodative of people."
Baepane will be buried tomorrow at Gamonare Cemetery in Batlharos village, Kuruman. The service starts at 7am.
