One of the greatest singers of our time, Chaka Khan, is giving a one-night performance at the Coca-Cola Dome in Northgate, Johannesburg, on Saturday, September 20.

She will be joined on stage by local music gems such as Siphokhazi and Hip Hop Pantsula.

Khan, a guest of KWV 10, is a legend and a distinguished singer.

She boasts one of the most melodic voices in the business and is still at the top of her game after all these years.

Her tunes are so universal that other artists have breathed new life into them.

Khan's original compositions still get a lot of airplay and her voice is unmistakable.

Unforgettable and distinguished, she will take local audiences along Smooth Music Avenue.

She will make a lasting impression on her fans and probably gain a few converts.

Hip Hop Pantsula, not so much of a new kid on the block but nonetheless a late developer, has overtaken a lot of established artists.

He will go down in the annals of history as one of the rappers who revolutionised hip-hop music by singing in Tswana.

He is now top of the heap, an essential festival accessory, winner of the Strictly Come Dancingcompetition as well as a nominee for Best African Act at the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Siphokazi is also no slouch when it comes to paying her dues on the music circuit.

Singing traditional music with a fascinating twist, Siphokazi's Zulu-dominated sound transformed her into an overnight success.

Tickets for the show are available from Computicket and Shoprite and Checkers for between R249 to R496.
