The much publicised case involving budding KwaZulu-Natal soccer star Siphelele Mthembu was once again adjourned yesterday, after Mthembu's cross-examination was concluded.

The much publicised case involving budding KwaZulu-Natal soccer star Siphelele Mthembu was once again adjourned yesterday, after Mthembu's cross-examination was concluded.

The case is contested by Soweto Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

The PSL's Dispute Resolution Committee postponed the matter to a date yet to be determined.

Officials from both teams could still be asked to testify before the matter is concluded, sources told Sowetan yesterday.

A press statement from the PSL said: "In terms of the proceedings, the player in question, Mthembu's cross-examination was completed today.

"No further statements will be made in this regard. A date for the continuation of the hearing will be announced in due course."
