Kwaito star Stoan Seate has proved beyond doubt that he is more than just a musician.

Seate, pictured, of the highly successful group Bongo Muffin, is the new presenter of music show Afro Cafe on SABC2.

Seate, who is also an actor of some note, is replacing the charismatic Pepsi Pokane.

Seate told Sowetan yesterday that he was looking forward to his first shoot tomorrow.

"It is an honour for me to present a musical show of this magnitude," Seate said.

"I don't have a problem with being in front of a camera because I've done it before."

Afro Cafe is a unique cultural experience and blends the best adult contemporary music. It features interviews with established artists, rising stars, as well as the hottest music videos and weekly jazz CD reviews by viewers.

The show started in 2004 and has been presented by Pokane since then.

Born in Vrede in Free State, Seate has just released an albumcalled Heart of Stoan that is receiving massive airplay.

The album was released through his recording label Stoanage.

Seate has been involved in the entertainment industry for 10 years, and has acted in Soul Buddyz and Molofish.
