Mpumalanga police have intensified the search for a senior government official wanted in connection with murder, attempted murder and kidnapping.

The deputy director of the media liaison in the Department of Labour in Pretoria, Musa Brighten Sithole, 39, allegedly stabbed Margaret Kolobe, 22, mother of a four-day-old baby, to death with a knife.

Then he allegedly wounded Gabisile Kolobe, 19, and Themba Mahamba in the armpit.

He also kidnapped sickly Nhlanhla Mnguni, 20, and Given Mnguni, 14.

This happened on August 15 while Sithole was looking for his girlfriend .
