Ray of Hope for sick baby

Young artists Kutlo Maseko and Ofentse Jankie are overjoyed at the positive response to their calls for help to raise funds for Baby Thandile Madikane's liver transplant.

Young artists Kutlo Maseko and Ofentse Jankie are overjoyed at the positive response to their calls for help to raise funds for Baby Thandile Madikane's liver transplant.

She is suffering from biliary atresia, a chronic, progressive liver problem. Maseko and Jankie's drama group, Our Lady of Peace Cast, is staging the anti-abortion play - If Only IHad Known - at R100 a person at the 1200-seater Krugersdorp Centenary Hall on September 2, 3, 4 and 9.

"Many people have responded positively to our calls for help, and we are grateful. A matinee - at R30 a ticket - for pupils will run at the same venue on September 9 at 1pm," Maseko said.

Maseko and Jankie's rally is complementing the Baby Thandile Trust Fund, started by a R50000 donation from mayor Koketso Seerane's Mogale City municipality, R5000 from singer Nhlanhla Nciza and R8000 from municipality manager Dan Mashitisho.

l Pledge to the Baby Thandile Madikane Trust Account: FNB, branch code - 255 005, account number - 6217 855 2454, or for production-related aid, call Maseko on 082-715-0777 or Jankie on 076-017-4183. - Victor Mecoamere
