"We are talking to the Local Organising Committee's legacy department to partner us," said James "Maradona" Shabangu, Dona's Mates Youth Academy boss.
"It is important for us as clubs to educate our communities about the importance of the World Cup, which is now on the lips of almost everybody lately.
"One of the things that we have in mind is to use some of the World Cup ambassadors like Doctor Khumalo, Phil Masinga and Mark Fish to conduct coaching clinics.
"Football development is one of the legacy project of the LOC, that is why we felt it was important to work closely with them on this project and others in the township.
"We are inspired by the work done by Safa Soweto, who are coming up with various projects to develop the sport in that area."
Shabangu, who is an executive member of Orange Farm Sports Council, said the tournament, now in its ninth year, will kick off on September 6.
"Registered clubs include Harmony Football Academy in Free State, GaRankuwa Chelsea, Limpopo Real Madrid, Bloemfontein Celtic colts and Newcastle Magic Touch.
