Jazz lovers will bop, tap their feet and even attempt acrobatics as a sign of their appreciation for good old Afro-pop.

The Afro-pop explosion will happen at the Oude Meester Ekurhuleni Comes Alive Jazz Evening at the Birchwood Hotel, Boksburg, 7.30pm on Friday September 5

Oliver Mtukudzi, who has become a top name in Afro-pop that melds traditional Zimba- bwean sounds with a bit of jazz, will again strum his way into his audience's hearts.

Tuku, as he is affectionately called, will sing from his elabo- rate repertoire spanning more than three decades.

He is joined by a lady who needs no introduction: Nhlanhla Nciza. A talented and innovative woman, Nhlanhla has proved herself as one part of the Mafikizolo duo.

With a number of Mafikizolo albums behind her she has also launched a successful solo career.

On top of beautiful music, there will be a sumptuous meal, accompanied by a bottle of Oude Meester brandy and red and white wine.

For a fun-filled evening of chilling with friends, networking and maybe a bit of romance, get yourself to the Birchwood.
