For a night of sheer musical ecstasy, you just have to make a date with some of the finest local and international artists.

There is only one place to go to in Cape Town on October 8 and that is the Grand Arena.

Set to take the audience on a spiri- tually charged and soulful journey is our very own Jonathan Butler.

The teenage star has come a long way and is, without any doubt, one of South Africa's best loved and most respected guitarist today.

Butler will be joined by his long-time friend and platinum-selling saxophonist Kirk Whallum.

R&B sensation Oleta Adams, the petite pianist who has made a home for herself in South Africa, will also be there. So what more can fans ask for?

Adams enthralled fans at Johannesburg's Market Theatre during the Joy of Jazz Festival.

The very talented Adams and gospel queen Rebecca Malope brought the roof down with their emotive rendition of Don't Let The Sun Go Down, Elton John's evergreen classic.

Sax player Kirk Whallum, who is fast finding a connection with South Africa, blew a storm at The Turbine Hall in Newtown during the Joy of Jazz Festival

Then he captivated the people of the peaceful province of Limpopo during the Mapungubwe Festival.

Thabo Mdluli, Denim and HHP with their varied genres, will also be there to rock the Grand Arena and show exactly what our sunny, blue skies and very beautiful country has to offer.

Now that your musical appetite has been whetted, you can run along to buy yourself tickets for this not to be missed concert in the Mother City.

You will be able to buy a ticket for R180 at any branch of Computicket.
