The analysis by Sports Indaba of the Bafana match is flawed.

The analysis by Sports Indaba of the Bafana match is flawed.

Molefi Mika says Benni McCarthy fumbled back-heel passes twice on the touchline and no one yelled at him to stop the nonsense.

The two Bafana goals resulted from Benni's back-heels, the same nonsense.

How do you stop a skilful move that ends up in a goal?

He also asks why Teko Modise was entrusted with duty on the right flank. B but Modise scored coming from the right flank.

Anyway, fortunately, Mr Mika has no ambitions of becoming a soccer coach.

We should be proud that our largely home-based players secured a draw with an exclusively European-based Australian squad.

As is typical of what we have been doing over the past years, the coach (Joel Santana) has been with us just a few months and we are already talking about bringing back Jomo Sono.
