Two South Africans detained in Uganda are still being questioned and have not had any charges put to them, the Department of Foreign Affairs said yesterday.

Two South Africans detained in Uganda are still being questioned and have not had any charges put to them, the Department of Foreign Affairs said yesterday.

Spokesman Ronnie Mamoepa said SA high commissioner Henry Chiliza visited the two relief workers, Haroon Saley of Azaadville and Mufti Hussain Bhayat of Lenasia, who were detained last week during a stopover at Entebbe International Airport.

They are being held at of Uganda's joint security offices in Kampala.

They said they were satisfied with the conditions of their detention. - Sapa
