I would say Lassy Chiwayo is more a Jacob Zuma man than the rest of the list you punted.
Remember that Chiwayo was one of Thabo Mbeki's casualties, together with other comrades such as Mathews Phosa and Jackson Mthembu.
The fact that they are still politically active shows how strong these comrades are.
This cannot be said about other comrades who were not as courageous and who have totally disappeared off the political radar.
At Polokwane, Chiwayo was part of JZ's list of additional members.
It is bizarre that all of a sudden you now want to construe him as questionable. Chiwayo's political credentials are impeccable.
Mpumalanga has for some time been led by corrupt characters who prioritised tenders and their businesses at the expense of the masses.
This coming conference presents us with a chance of correcting all those ills and coming up with a winning team.
I know I will be electing Chiwayo. This is the leadership relevant for Mpumalanga, and has the capacity to place the ANC in its rightful position.
