The PAC, led by Letlapa Mphahlele, will approach the court to obtain a final order barring another faction from operating under the party's banner.

The PAC was awarded an interim court interdict preventing the faction led by Thami Ka Plaatjie from holding a meeting under the auspices of the PAC.

But the interdict was ignored and the Ka Plaatjie faction went ahead with its national congress in Bloemfontein two weeks ago.

The PAC led by Mphahlele, who was re-elected last month, held its first NEC meeting in Kempton Park at the weekend.

Secretary general Mfanelo Skwatsha said yesterday that a resolution was taken to take the matter further. "The fact that an interim order was ignored does not affect our case to ensure that ill-disciplined individuals don't go around abusing the name of the PAC.

"On August 29 we are approaching the court for a final order. There is only one PAC, one president and one leadership."
