Disunited PAC has nothingto offer SA

There is no hope that the PAC will ever grow as a party or play a significant role in our country.

There is no hope that the PAC will ever grow as a party or play a significant role in our country.

I don't have to justify my statement because the facts are there for all to see.

Fourteen years into democracy the party still makes headlines for all the wrong reasons. The reason for this is always the power struggle. I'm sure voters are sick and tired.

It has become monotonous that reference is made to Robert Sobukwe, founding father of the party, every time there is a problem in the PAC.

Sobukwe has done his bit and it's time we let him rest. If the present leadership decides to bring the party down, as it is doing, let it be.

At present there are two PACs and we don't know which is real and which "fong kong". Both claim to be the real McCoy. Members are confused and don't know which one to vote for next year.

The PAC is one of the oldest liberation movements but has nothing to show for it. It is the smallest party in the country and its membership is dwindling.

It should focus on improving its performance for the elections.

It made a big mistake electing a former soldier, Letlapa Mphahlele, as president. Mphahlele uses military-style methods to deal with his enemies. The result? Two PACs.

Frankly, the PAC adds no value to our politics. It is writing its political obituary. It must close shop.
