Gauteng's Bree Primary School made it two overseas trips in a row after they clinched the Milo Champions Cup following their 1-0 victory over Biko Park on Saturday.

The matches were played at Marks Park in Johannesburg.

The victory has secured Bree a trip to Barcelona, Spain, next months, which is the first prize for the Under-13 Nestlé sponsored tournament.

The Gauteng-based school has won the Danone Cup championship earlier this year and as a result will represent the country during the Danone Nations Cup from September 3 to 9 in France.

On their road to the finals Bree thrashed Vulamazibuko from Eastern Cape 2-0 before they walked over Vukuzithathe from Mpumalanga 3-1.

On the other hand, the runners-up from Limpopo walloped Mofulatshepe from Free State 4-0 before they whipped Hlengisa from Western Cape 2-0.

Bree were made to sweat by Biko Park during the group winners' round robin, while Biko Park pipped Sol Plaatjie from North West 3-0 in another match.

"The standard of play was very high as was confirmed by scouts from Absa Premiership teams such as Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Supersports United.

"This kind of talent needs to be nurtured, while on one hand the challenge is that if they are not taken care off they will disappear, Mandla Mazibuko, South African School Football Association (Sasfa) president said yesterday.
