Soccer lovers in Tshifulanani village should expect fireworks during a two-horse race between Jerome River Bank and Nesengani Junior Swallows during Safa Vhembe district's Champ of Champs tomorrow.

The fifth leg of round robin matches will be played at Tshifulanani sports ground near Thohoyandou from 10am.

River Bank, who are on top spot with nine points from four outings will lock horns with third-placed Mulodi Freedom Birds at 10am.

A draw may be enough for River Bank to clinch the championships provided Swallows drop a point.

Swallows are second with seven points from the same number of matches, with a better goal difference than River Bank.

Swallows will play bottom club Thembaluvhilo Seven Stars at 1pm. Stars have collected only one point from four matches, making them the worst performers of the tournament.

"We are impressed by the high standard displayed by most of the teams since the beginning of the tournament in June. We expect the challenge to be even stronger on Saturday as teams will be vying for the first prize," Mulalo Masenya, Safa Vhembe district's spokesman, told Sowetan yesterday.

"The superb display is a clear indication that the teams are in good shape even for the next season. We wish them good luck, and let the best team win."

Fixtures:

River Bank v Freedom Birds (10am); Junior Swallows v Seven Stars (1pm); Khumbe Poultry Farms v Lutomboni Junior Fire Birds (3pm).
