The 2010 Fifa World Cup Local Organising Committee will this week start with nationwide visits to forge closer cooperation with the leaders of the nine provincial governments.

The first stop will be in Gauteng tomorrow where LOC chief executive Danny Jordaan and company are scheduled to meet Mbhazima Shilowa, the premier of Gauteng, which will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the World Cup at Soccer City.

Shilowa will use this opportunity to assure the LOC delegation that his government will pull out all stops to ensure that next year's Confederations Cup and the World Cup in 2010 will be a roaring success in Gauteng, the "home of champions".
