Amabinneplaas, the South African national development squad, should maintain an attacking mentality if they intend overcoming Mozambique in the Cosafa Senior Challenge final in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga, on Sunday.
The match will be played on an artificial pitch at Thulamahashe Stadium and kickoff is at 3.30pm.
The South Africans were uninspiring when they beat Zambia 1-0 in their semifinal clash on Wednesday but they have showed great spirit in reaching the final.
The Mambas, on the other hand, beat Madagascar 2-1 to reach the final of this regional event for the first time.
Many people, including Amabinneplaas coach Serame "Rhee" Letsoaka, were not happy with the team's performance on Wednesday and there are those who now believe that the South Africans will be dethroned of their title on Sunday.
But the South Africans boast players who have fighting spirit and will certainly refuse to be beaten on their home turf.
Letsoaka is also a talented coach and could come up with a calculative game plan to defend their title.
Petrus Mahlatsi should start with Marchelino Fransch to put pressure on the visitors from the onset.
The Mozambican attack will be led by Orlando Pirates' reject Manuel "Tico Tico" Bucuane and Moamed Hagi but the likes of Thapelo Tshilo and Pirates' new recruit Rooi Mahamutsa could deal with them.
Lefa Tsutsulupa, voted man of the match against Zambia, is another player who should cause problems for Mozambique in midfield.
The Moroka Swallows midfielder is not only inspired by the award he won on Wednesday but also by the beauty he scored against the obdurate Zambian side.
Speaking in the post-match interview, Tsutsulupa credited his teammates for his success and stressed that they were ready for the final.
Mark McVeigh's experience will also come in handy for the defending champions.
But Amabinneplaas should be warned not to underestimate the Mambas who are highly motivated after reaching the final.
Zambia and Mozambique will meet at 1pm in the losers' final.
