Police have made an arrest in the murder of a senior eThekwini municipality official.
Mzi Ngubane, 48, a manager at the municipality's department of housing at Umlazi Mega City, was stabbed to death during an argument on Monday.
The suspect was also injured during the attack and was treated at a local hospital. Police arrested him on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Captain Khephu Ndlovu said the stabbing took place at a house at the township's Q section during an argument over a woman who was allegedly present.
"We have not established who the woman is and who was at fault. Investigations are continuing," Ndlovu said.
Ndlovu said the two men had stabbed each other during a fight.
"The suspect was also wounded in the attack," Ndlovu said.
