Another Buccaneer supporter has fallen. Tebogo "Bhakabhaka" Tsiane was a card-carrying member of the Wattville branch of Pirates supporters.
A witty man, Tsiane was sick but what made him even more sickly was the loss to Chiefs last week.
"Irvin Khoza should consult Pirates' ancestors and slaughter a cow "otherwise we will not win anything this season again," he told friends last week.
Of all the Pirates coaches he raved about Victor Bondarenko and said he hoped that he would one day he be brought back to take the team to greater heights.
His home was used as a clubhouse for the local team, Prima All Stars, of which his son Raymond was manager and captain.
Tsiane was born on November 12 1946 in Boksburg.
He started his schooling at Solomon Motlana Higher Primary until Standard 6. He then attended St Theresa Catholic School in Sterkspruit in Eastern Cape, where he completed his Senior Certificate.
He joined Amato Textiles as an administration clerk.
He had other jobs in betweenand at the time of his death was working for Intervent Ventilators in Cleveland near Johannesburg, where he had been a driver for 26 years.
Neighbour and fellow Bucs fan Petrus Dihlabi describes him as a gentle man who never raised his voice.
"When he was cheering for Bucs at the stadium or in front of the TV he was at his happiest.
"You knew when he was down that Pirates had either lost or drawn."
Tsiane is survived by his wife, five children and four siblings.
He will be buried tomorrow at the Ekurhuleni East Cemetery in Boksburg.
The service at the St Joseph Catholic Church in Actonville starts at 8.30am.
