The fraud, drunken driving and defeating the ends of justice case against embattled Ekurhuleni metro chief Robert McBride has been postponed to September 1.

The fraud, drunken driving and defeating the ends of justice case against embattled Ekurhuleni metro chief Robert McBride has been postponed to September 1.

His defence wants to get access to statements made by witnesses in other cases being investigated against McBride. He has appealed to get the statements.

Magistrate Peet Johnson postponed the case to allow McBride's appeal to be heard. - Sipho Masombuka
